About Us
so, what’s with the name?
Pixelogue is a portmanteau of “pixel” and “dialogue” - since we create digital conversations.
We help organisations and small businesses develop coherent web strategies and better engage with their audiences.
Rahul Gonsalves
I founded Pixelogue in 2009, after working on websites on a freelance basis for over five years. I have built sites ranging from small, five-page portfolio websites to larger, dynamic sites (up to several hundred pages) managed by multiple authors.
As a freelance designer, I have had the opportunity to research ways in which websites and electronic communications can be made accessible to people with physical and cognitive disabilities; I presented a paper outlining the reasons for doing so and methods for doing so (‘The Case for Accessibility’) at Techshare 2008. Later in 2008, I presented a further paper (“Disability Access and the Internet”), examining the ways in which people with disabilities interact with computers at the National Conference on ICT for Differently Abled People. I have since spent a significant amount of time helping large organisations (NIC, mPhasis, IBM, Wipro, Infosys) adopt accessibility standards for their internal and external projects.
I conduct regular workshops on Building Accessible Websites around India, often in association with the Centre for Internet and Society.
